For more than forty years the most persistent inspiration and source of imagery in my work has been drawn from the hills and valleys of Wales and southern England. The majority of my work reflects a strong affinity I feel with the downlands of the south in particular and celebrates the contrasting moods and harmonies of land and sky. I work with pastels, oils and also aspects of printmaking. Studied at the Royal College of Art 1951 to 1954.
