Sophie Mason is a painter and printmaker living on the South Coast. Her late mother, Joanna Carrington was a well known painter and the niece of Dora Carrington, the artist affiliated to the Bloomsbury group through her partnership with Lytton Strachey. Sophie attended Wimbledon and Camberwell Colleges of Art in the early 1980's leaving with a good Degree and winning a prize for drawing. Since then she has taken part in many group shows including Royal Academy exhibitions. She has also undertaken commissions and illustration work. Seascapes and landscapes are her main interest and she enjoys working in a variety of media.
